It's weak I know, but the pledge is to run 6 days a week starting januray 1 so it is what it is. The 1.2 was actually 3 x 0.4 mile sprints as part of my regular workout. I'm happy to say that these were pretty quick even though they came at the end of a full body pounding. Looking to get in 3 miles tonight

I was lucky to get this one mile in so I wouldn't have to abandon my new years resolution already. We did this in sprints as part of a bigger workout tonight. I had planned on doing more when I got home but then was told I had to go pick up a kid and run some errands instead. I just need to get up in the AM so I can avoid these issues.

The goal is 6 days a week and I think I'm going to have to make saturday, not sunday, my rest day typically.  It is so much easier to get out for a run on Sunday than it is on saturday.

I haven't uploaded my watch data yet but I've been up this trail several times before and I'm fairly certain the vertical feet are accurate, if not a little conservative. This was the Centerville Peak trail up Parish Lane that runs to the top of the mountain. I made it to the campsite on top of Centerville Peak and then went up and summitted the actual peak before heading back down. The trip up was not that bad, I was expecting much worse since I haven't done any serious hills in a long time. I ran the whole thing with no walking and got to the top in 45 minutes. The trip down was a bit slower than normal due to snow, ice, and people with dogs not on leashes.

My run today was 4 x .4 mile sprints as part of a larger workout. I wanted to get up this morning and get at least 3 in before work but I was up all night sick from something I ate. I know I need to ramp my milage up so hopefully I can make that happen this week.

Lame, I know. 1 mile as part of my other workout. Someday I'll get back to running more miles but it might not be until the snow clears.

Same as yesterday. Good thing I'm doing this crossfit thing or I would have missed a few runs already.

Speed test for crossfit. I ran the mile in 6:38. I need to knock 30 seconds off that time to take the gym record.

4 on the TM. 1/2 mile warm up at 6 mph; 6 x 1/4 mile with 1/4 mile rest between. First 3 1/4's were at 8 mph and second 3 1/4's were at 9 mph all with 10 mph resting runs between. 1/2 mile cool down at 7 mph.

First mile was part of another workout.  I have no idea how fast or slow it was. I was told to run a course so that is what I did.

The second 3 miles was done as a 1/2 mile warm up, 7:30 pace 1 mile, 1/2 mile resting jog at 10 minute pace, 1/2 mile at 6:49 pace, 1/2 mile cool down. finishied the 3 miles in 25 minutes. The half mile at 6:49 was difficult so I guess I need to do that more.

1 mile in 8:45 as part of another workout. Not even a fast mile. I don't know how I'm going to start running more but I need to figure it out. Hopefully the cold will go away soon.

This was supposed to be a long run but it ended up just taking a long time. I didn't know how steep this trail was and I only had an hour to get something in. I made it a ways up the Ed's Peak trail before running out of time and having to come back down. Still, even with the shortness of the run, it felt really good to be out on the trail again!

No time constraints today so I went back to Ed's Peak to bag that sucker. It took 1:51:00 from car to car, a time which I'm sure is not very fast at all. The trail is pretty steep, just under 1,400 vertical feet in the first mile and just over 1,100 feet in the second mile. When I got to the peak I stopped to take in the view and see if there was some trail that went the rest of the way up the mountain. There was none that I could see but maybe when the snowmelts it will be different. The trip down was pretty fast although I kept sinking in the snow up to my mid calf or knee at places on the top section of the trail. I guess the snow is softer up there. No spikes or snow shoes and it worked out great. I'm going to go back soon and see if I can do it faster.

BST from NSL to Radio Towers. After work running seems like a good schedule for the time being. I've switched my Crossfit workout to mornings so I can get both in.

Part of another workout again.  Doing two a day makes it hard to get a real run in if I don't get up early enough.

Three minutes faster than Monday on this same course.  I didn't stop to take pictures (I took one but I did it while running) and I was ready for the ice, which I wasn't ready for on monday. I think if I could hit this without snow on it I would be able to shave a few more minutes off my time.

BST from NSL to upper radio towers and back. Trail was very icy and I slipped on my way back down and landed pretty solidly on my elbow. Nothing broken but I need spikes.

The goal here was 4 miles at a fairly quick but sustainable pace. I managed it in 7:39 per mile with my splits being pretty evenly dispersed. Given my training level over the past several months I'm pretty happy with that.
