No time constraints today so I went back to Ed's Peak to bag that sucker. It took 1:51:00 from car to car, a time which I'm sure is not very fast at all. The trail is pretty steep, just under 1,400 vertical feet in the first mile and just over 1,100 feet in the second mile. When I got to the peak I stopped to take in the view and see if there was some trail that went the rest of the way up the mountain. There was none that I could see but maybe when the snowmelts it will be different. The trip down was pretty fast although I kept sinking in the snow up to my mid calf or knee at places on the top section of the trail. I guess the snow is softer up there. No spikes or snow shoes and it worked out great. I'm going to go back soon and see if I can do it faster.
